The present facilities consist of a large open air club house with a covered deck for social gatherings or simply relaxing; an enclosed equipment storage area, and a lovely beach area ideal for children to play or swim in the clear Matano water.

Those who are just playing can be enjoy using our kayaks. More experienced members might prefer to sail one of our 3 Hobie Wave or Hobie One-12. Both types of vessels offer stimulating rides and are beautiful to watch in full sail charting their course across Lake Matano.

MYC also has windsurfers which are  very popular at resorts throughout the world. The windsurfer carries its passenger across the water on a modified surfboard equipped with a sail. Be prepared ti get wet when you are windsurfing!

Club membership entitles members to sail duting daylight hours weekly or on the weekend. The best wind conditions are often from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

New members are encouraged to ask questions on rogging the boats. On water safety, sailing terminology and rules. Sailors are a friendly lot and they are quite eager to help initiate new members into the popular sport of sailing.
